Ingredients
  

  • 2 to 3 ripe bananas should be about 1 ¼ to 1 ½ cups mashed
  • cup 76g melted butter, unsalted or salted
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • ¾ cup 150g sugar
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups 205g all-purpose flour

Instructions
 

Step 1:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 °F (or 175 °C). Then butter a loaf pan (for this recipe, use an 8x4” loaf pan).

Step 2:

  • Take a medium-sized bowl and mash the ripe bananas using a fork. Make sure the bananas are smooth, then add ⅓ cup of butter into the bowl and mix well.

Step 3:

  • Next put the remaining ingredients (baking soda, salt, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract) into the bowl. Leave the flour for last, when all the other ingredients are well incorporated, mix it in.

Step 4:

  • Pour this batter into the loaf pan that you have already prepared.
  • Bake for about an hour at the same heat that we used for preheating. You can also insert a toothpick or the back of the spoon into the center of the bread, if it comes out moist but clean, your cake is good to go.

Step 5:

  • After the bread is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 5 or 10 minutes. Then take out the bread carefully. Let it cool completely at room temperature before serving.
  • When slicing the loaf, it is best to use a bread knife. It prevents crumbs.
