How to make Banana Bread?
Now, let’s get down to business and talk about the actual making of this banana bread recipe.
As I said before, there is no need for any special equipment in this recipe. All you need is a bowl and a hand-whisker or even a spoon will do just fine.
We begin by preheating the oven and preparing a loaf pan with butter.
Next, we mash our ripe bananas until they are nice and smooth. Then add butter and continue mixing.
Now put together all of the remaining ingredients and mix until the batter is smooth.
Then you put it in the loaf pan, pop it in the oven, and bake for about an hour.
To check if your cake is ready, you can use the old trick: insert a toothpick or the back of a spoon into the center of the loaf, if it comes out without any wet batter sticking to it, then your cake is ready to be removed from the oven.
There might be a few crumbs on the toothpick or the spoon. But that’s okay as long as there is no wet batter sticking to it.
So, there you have it. We hope that you enjoy and love this special recipe as much as we do. And if you’ve tried it, don’t forget to comment about your experience.

Banana Bread Recipe
- 2 to 3 ripe bananas should be about 1 ¼ to 1 ½ cups mashed
- ⅓ cup 76g melted butter, unsalted or salted
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- ¾ cup 150g sugar
- 1 large egg beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups 205g all-purpose flour
- Preheat the oven to 350 °F (or 175 °C). Then butter a loaf pan (for this recipe, use an 8×4” loaf pan).
- Take a medium-sized bowl and mash the ripe bananas using a fork. Make sure the bananas are smooth, then add ⅓ cup of butter into the bowl and mix well.
- Next put the remaining ingredients (baking soda, salt, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract) into the bowl. Leave the flour for last, when all the other ingredients are well incorporated, mix it in.
- Pour this batter into the loaf pan that you have already prepared.
- Bake for about an hour at the same heat that we used for preheating. You can also insert a toothpick or the back of the spoon into the center of the bread, if it comes out moist but clean, your cake is good to go.
- After the bread is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 5 or 10 minutes. Then take out the bread carefully. Let it cool completely at room temperature before serving.
- When slicing the loaf, it is best to use a bread knife. It prevents crumbs.
