Ingredients

  • 1 box 15.25 oz or 432g Funfetti cake mix
  • 1 cup 240ml vanilla frosting
  • 16 oz 453g white melting chocolate or candy melts
  • Sprinkles for decoration (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Cake:

  • Preheat your oven according to the cake mix instructions.
  • Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Follow the instructions on the Funfetti cake mix box to prepare the cake batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake according to the instructions. Allow the cake to cool completely.

Make the Cake Pops:

  • Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs using your hands or a fork.
  • Add vanilla frosting to the cake crumbs gradually, mixing until the mixture holds together like dough. You may not need to use the entire cup of frosting.
  • Roll the cake mixture into balls, each about the size of a golf ball, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Insert a lollipop stick into each cake ball. Freeze the cake pops for about 30 minutes to firm them up.

Melt the Chocolate:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate or candy melts according to the package instructions, stirring until smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.

Dip the Cake Pops:

  • Remove the cake pops from the freezer.
  • Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Gently tap off any excess chocolate.
  • Immediately decorate the cake pops with sprinkles if desired before the chocolate sets.

Allow to Set:

  • Place the decorated cake pops back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet to allow the chocolate coating to set completely. You can refrigerate them to speed up the process.

Serve or Store:

  • Once the chocolate coating is set, your Funfetti cake pops are ready to serve! Enjoy them as a delightful treat or store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
