Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar 200 g
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar 195 g
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 280 g
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips 510 g
  • 1 cup chopped almonds 80 g

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and almonds.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
  • Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
