Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour 125g
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk 240ml
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 30ml

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Place a large baking dish or tray in the oven to heat up.
  • Mix Batter: In a mixing bowl, add the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and crack the eggs into it. Gradually pour in the milk while whisking continuously until you have a smooth batter.
  • Rest Batter: Allow the batter to rest for about 10 minutes. This allows the flour to absorb the liquid, resulting in a lighter, crispier pudding.
  • Heat Oil: Divide the vegetable oil equally between four holes of a muffin tin or a large ovenproof dish. Place the tin or dish in the oven to heat up for about 5 minutes, until the oil is hot and sizzling.
  • Pour Batter: Carefully remove the hot tin or dish from the oven. Quickly pour the batter into each hole of the muffin tin or into the hot dish.
  • Bake: Place the tin or dish back into the oven immediately. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the puddings are risen, golden brown, and crisp.
  • Serve: Once baked, remove the Yorkshire puddings from the oven and serve immediately as a side dish for roast dinners or with gravy. Enjoy!
