Ingredients Method

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 185g Thai Jasmine rice
  • 1 1/2 cups 360ml water

Method

  1. Rinse the rice in a fine-mesh sieve under cold running water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch and helps prevent sticking.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine rinsed rice and water.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
  4. Once boiling, cover the pot tightly with a lid, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. After 15 minutes, remove the pot from heat and let it stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Do not lift the lid during this time.
  6. After 5 minutes, fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
